Drama

Woodbridge’s commitment to drama is reflected in the large number of theatrical productions staged each year. Less formal performance opportunities are provided by the popular lunchtime drama clubs, dance showcases and student improvisations.

There is seldom a day our state of the art Seckford Theatre is not resounding with a production in rehearsal, full performance or drama studies. With a capacity of 350 and offering the full facilities of a professional theatre it is an ideal venue to host School, amateur and professional productions.Seckford Theatre Programme.Drama

Classical, musical, comedy or drama - the variety is inspiring and packs in audiences from the School and around the county.

Involvement in drama is not limited to performance – those who prefer to work behind the scenes can train under the professional guidance of a full-time theatre technician to become lighting and sound technicians, wardrobe and make-up assistants, and scenery artists.

There are strong links to local and national theatres.

Several pupils train with the National Youth Theatre, and others take the Trinity Guildhall Arts Award and LAMDA exams.
