Our activity programme is not a bolt-on extra, but central to the all round development of our pupils. Interest and achievement outside class builds confidence inside - confidence in self as well as confidence in each other.
Simply walking around the School, any day of any term, there is an extraordinary sense of enthusiastic activity, broad smiles and lively companionship.
In the 45 acres our pupils are privileged to enjoy, Woodbridge has an astonishing range of sports, cultural and recreational facilities.
We have an impressive record of team successes, individual performances and personal triumphs.
The Seckford Scheme
Every Friday academic education ends at lunchtime and the afternoons are devoted to activities under the Seckford Scheme.
An integral part of School life and hugely influential in the all round development of our pupils and students, the Seckford Scheme is a valuable and highly popular supplement to the standard curriculum.
Year 7 and Year 8 have sport followed by a series of activities:
- Swimming
- Keyboard Skills
- Music Technology
- Art Challenge
- Multi Media Skills
- First Aid
- Keep Fit
- Media Studies
- Drama
- Sports Leadership
From Year 9 onwards, students have a choice of joining the CCF, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme (or both) or honing their skills in the many different sports, arts, music, and other activities available at Woodbridge, as described in the listing to the left.
