Woodbridge School hosted its 16th Inter School One Day Event at Poplar Park on Sunday 20th March. For many competitors this was their first chance of the season to compete cross country and they were rewarded with glorious sunny skies and near perfect conditions.
Over 200 competitors making up 40 teams and Individuals travelled across the East of England from schools as far away as Leicestershire, Nth Norfolk and West Essex to compete in the 3 disciplines of dressage, show jumping and cross country.
The competition was friendly but extremely competitive and the children rode well and confidently to compete for the many rosettes and trophies.
The Open Team competition was won by Woodbridge School with Uppingham School in second place. Izzy Clarke and Alice Verrill from Woodbridge School each winning a section.
Honywood School travelled from Coggeshall and were rewarded with a win in the Novice Team competition and Riddlesworth Hall Team was proud winners of the Mini Team Eventer Trial.
Woodbridge School would especially like to thank all the many volunteers who give up their time to judge, steward and help at this event. A team of over 100 people are needed to organise these events so it would not be possible without this support.
