Moving up to Sixth Form is a challenging and exciting time and those thinking of joining have only to read former students
views and comments to realise Woodbridge is very special.
It’s hard, dedicated work. It’s great fun. And it resounds with achievements.
Woodbridge Sixth Form is a stimulating mixture of students who have been educated at the School and many new faces who join us after GCSEs taken elsewhere.
A bridge to the 21st century workplace
Predominantly a day school, but with boarding for 50 students, Woodbridge Sixth Form combines academic excellence with an unrivalled range of activities that are designed with one single purpose - to prepare our students to their best possible advantage for their futures.
The diversity of talents at Woodbridge is a constant source of amazement: nationally acclaimed music sits easily alongside high quality sport; progressive drama in our new theatre accompanies exceptional mathematics and science.
Every student has a Personal Tutor who supports and guides, integrating independent study and research with lectures, and into course frameworks.
We coach our students in essential skills that will last a lifetime: independence, confidence, leadership, inter-personal abilities and an enthusiasm for life that evokes a creative, entrepreneurial spirit.
It’s a busy, happy place, buzzing with motivated young adults who enjoy lively friendships, many of which will last for years.
New Sixth Form Centre
Opened September 2009, our new Sixth Form Centre is truly remarkable. Its contemporary architecture reflects state-of-the art teaching facilities including lecture rooms, study areas and a reference library - all adjacent to the social and recreational facilities that are an integral part of Sixth Form life.
Within the Centre, our careers room offers an extensive range of information on universities, career options and guidance, career advisory services, the armed forces…
We are immensely proud of our Sixth Form and all the ‘Plusses’ it offers.
We are even more proud of our pupils, of what they achieve here, of what they achieve beyond School, and the people they become.
